Watercolour workshop Steni Vala, Alonissos

Steni Vala has always proved to be one of the most popular destinations to visit and paint so, after listening to our clients, we have decided to base a painting week in Steni Vala itself at the Four Seasons Hotel.
This low level hotel, a short stroll from the harbour, is finished to a high standard with excellent size rooms, a lovely swimming pool and a fabulous roof terrace.

A painters paradise with easily reached vantage points . The bougainvillea clad taverna's, sailing boats and olive groves are all literally on the hotel doorstep.

Steni Vala is a great base with its eight taverna's and a couple of small supermarkets offering fresh fruit and bread or anything else you might need. The beaches Glyfa and Agios Petros are both just a short walk around the headland either side of the harbour. There a several walks starting from Steni Vala for non painting partners to explore, or maybe just sit back and watch the world go by at one of the friendly harbour front taverna's.

Nearby painting painting locations will include the sleepy fishing village of Kalamakia only 5 minutes away, the old boatyard and chapel at Babakesh, plus the amazing views above and around Agios Dimitrious beach. With use of the hotel minibus moving around could not be simpler. Painting trips further afield to the unspoilt mountain top Old Village and the dramatic bays and coves are all part of the weeks itinerary.
